Statement of Work:
In this phase, all of the parts that have to be achieved until the start of system design phase, will be realized such as the components of planning and analyzing. Determining project requirements, making interviews and kick-off meeting, co-operation with stakeholders and sponsor will be the main topics that will be held in this work package.

Make Kick-off Meeting

Statement of Work:
The goal of making kick-off meeting is mainly stating the beginning of the project, appointing individual goals and responsibilities, removing the shadows of uncertainity by declaring and illuminating the expectancies of stakeholders. All of Lothusa team members will attend and responsibilities and roles will be casted.

Start up and Orientation

Statement of Work:
The goal of start up and orientation is mainly putting some ideas together, making brainstorming, while keeping healthy ones (ideas) in chunk, eliminating useless ones and finally evaluating these ideas.

Statement of Work:
In this phase, the main objective is putting out a feeler of key stakeholders, by making first contacts with them and investigating their expectancies from OM-LS (Operation Management-Learning System) and defining success criteria. By realizing these investigations, satisfaction target will be more accurate and also while making these interviews, early error detections will lead us to take healthier steps.

Preparing Project Commencing Documents

Work Package ID and Name: 1.4 – Preparing Project Commencing Documents
Statement of Work:
In this phase, Lothusa IT team composes the Project Charter, Business Case and Team Contract documents. While Business Case gives insights about the business objectives, projects' deadline, cost expectencies and background, Project Charter declares the team members and approach that will be used in the way of coping with the project. And at last, Team Contract illustrates the determined values, rules and attitudes that will be preferred within the execution of the project.

Interview with M. A.

Work Package ID and Name: 1.5 – Interview with M. A.
Statement of Work:
The main goal of this meeting is removing the question marks on teams heads. By clamping down to foggy issues and asking questions, Lothusa team will try to get what it wants from customer (M. A.). Also previously composed documents will be served to him and his approval will be recieved.

Preparing Project Requirements

Statement of Work:
In this phase, Project Requirement Document will be created. This document will clarify many things such as what kind of peer Learning Management System (LMS) can be took as reference, what kind of Operation Management (OM) problems should be answered within the context of site, what sort of programming language should the team use and what sort of additional options or opportunities can be served to the end-users.

Getting Feedbacks from Customer

Statement of Work:
In this phase, composed Project Requirements document is served to the customer (M. A.) and his approval is recieved. He marked the items where is unsuitable and requests team to correct these points.

Statement of Work:
In this interview with M. T., members of the team will talk about general requirements of the customer, general concerns of M. T. (Boss) about the documents that Lothusa has prepared and general assesment of what the team has achieved so far.

Preparing Scope Statement

Work Package ID and Name: 1.10 – Preparing Scope Statement
Statement of Work:
In this phase, Lothusa IT team will finalize the Scope Statement document. This document contains Project Requirements document which will be already composed, Project Justification section which emphasizes the idealogy that lies beneath the system, Project Deliverables part that illustrates the outputs of the system and finally, Project Sucess Criteria that shows the points must be reached to be counted as successful.

Composing Future Plans

Work Package ID and Name: 1.11 – Composing Future Plans
Statement of Work:
In this phase, Lothusa IT team will compose To-Do List that clarifies the foggy scene of next 5 weeks a little bit. The composition of this document will simplify the creation of WBS List, Activity List, Gantt Chart, Milestone List and many others.

Finalizing Functional Specifications

Work Package ID and Name: 1.12 – Finalizing Functional Specifications
Statement of Work:
Functional specification of OM-LS (Operation Management-Learning System) is the description of what OM-LS system does or should do. Functional specification of OM-LS is one of the inputs of the design process.

Preparing Milestone & Activity List

Work Package ID and Name: 1.13 – Preparing Milestone & Activity List
Statement of Work:
In this phase, Milestone & Activity Lists will be created. Lothusa IT team does not need to specify any other WBS Dictionary Entity for WBS Lists and Gantt Chart, because they are derivations of Activity List by somehow. In the Milestone Report, there are critical station points that have to be achieved and in the Activity List, there are each nodes in the project and their short definitions also appear on the list.
